The weather was perfect ... because it was a climate-controlled 78 degrees inside the stadium even though the roof was open. Air-conditioned breezes all night, a 6:40 start time so the game was over by 10:00, a decent crowd of 19,600, very friendly fans and ushers, and a 20 minute traffic-free drive from hotel to stadium. As a baseball lover, it was a good night.
Hope all is well ... enjoy the pictures.
Susan and Jackson outside Chase Field.
US Airways Arena (home of the Suns) is right next door.
Just inside Chase Field ... the main concourse is very easy
to access and easy to get around inside. The stadium was one of our favorites.
A picture of our seats along the third base line.
Here's a view toward home.
We (Susan) got the tickets off the team website from a season-ticket holder
who couldn't attend the game.
This is a view toward the massive CF scoreboard.
The picture doesn't show them well, but on both sides of the scoreboard
Like all dads, I'm very proud of my son. I especially like to watch Jackson
keep score at a game. He wants to get a scorecard and keep the score at all
the games we go to (although he'll take an inning or two off to explore the stadium)
... all our Strat-O-Matic games have paid off because
he rarely needs help from me on how to record a play.
Can't beat fun at the old ballpark ...
the past two summers we've been to games in Atlanta, Pittsburgh,
Toronto, Detroit, Texas, and Arizona ... I'd go to one every night if I could.
A trademark of the Arizona ballpark is the pool in right center.
Thankfully, Jackson didn't want to go in too badly because you
must have a ticket.
